Week of Oct. 5–Oct. 11, 2025: Full Supermoon in Aries
A burst of energy, motivation, and passion is coming through this week as the cosmos moves in a fiery and passionate direction in the Martian zodiac signs of Aries and Scorpio. While we're in the airy, balanced, and harmonious season of Libra, the Full Moon in Aries powerfully activates the opposing axis representing our drive and leadership. The planet of communication, Mercury, is also stirring up strategic intuitive thought in the depths of Scorpio. All times are listed in Eastern Time (U.S.) for your cosmic planning. Convert to your local time zone as needed.
Weekly Astrology Forecast
On Sunday, Oct. 5, the Waxing Gibbous Pisces Moon is the final phase before the Aries Full Moon activation the next day. The Moon is activating the karmic North Node of the Moon and cosmic disciplinarian Saturn retrograde in Pisces. As a result of these planetary connections, emotions are running high. Be aware of sudden reactions that could end up landing you in hot water later, so it's best to take your time. The Moon will also form an opposition with Venus in Virgo. This is grounding some practicality and discernment into the day's energy. You may feel inspired to release old limiting patterns around self-worth, finances, and relationships today as well.
As we move into the work week on Monday, Oct. 6, Mercury, the planet of communication, thought, and writing, moves into the emotional intensity of Scorpio, where it will back in and out of Sagittarius (retrograde is coming up!) until Thursday, Dec. 11. This ushers in a season of deeper conversations, sharper intuition, and strategic thinking. While Mercury usually prefers quick exchanges, Scorpio slows things down and encourages us to look beneath the surface. This is a powerful time for research, journaling, and deep dialogue.
Later that same day, we're receiving a fiery cosmic blast from the Full Supermoon in Aries at 11:47 p.m. EDT. This is the Full Moon closest to the Autumnal Equinox, and also called the Harvest Moon by the Indigenous Americans, including the Algonquin and Iroquois of what is now Upstate New York. The Harvest Moon signals a crucial time for harvesting staple foods in order to survive the winter. We can compare this to the astrology of this Full Moon as a time of manifestation and reaping the harvest in your life.
In astrology, a Full Moon happens when the Sun and Moon stand directly opposite each other in the sky, making the Moon appear fully lit. The phase represents a high point in the lunar cycle, symbolizing completion, realization, and emotional intensity. It's a time when situations come to light, awareness grows, and many people feel more sensitive or energized. This Full Moon is a moment to harvest the results of the past efforts and gain insight into what's unfolding.
During this particular Full Moon, the Moon is in Aries and the Sun is in Libra. This highlights independence vs. partnership and is a powerful moment of manifestation and forward movement of your desires and passions. It's especially powerful for cardinal placements: Aries, Libra, Capricorn, and Cancer. I also want to note that the effects and manifestations of this Full Moon will last for the next couple of weeks until the New Moon in Libra on Tuesday, Oct. 21.
While Jupiter in Cancer and Chiron in Aries aren't forming tight aspects to the Full Supermoon, their wider orbs still play a role in my opinion. Jupiter's loose square can bring positive change and moments of personal growth, while Chiron in the same sign as the Moon highlights themes of emotional healing and self-assertion. Think of them as subtle influences that color the week's energy rather than dominate it.
The Full Moon is also classified astronomically as a Supermoon, occurring at the lunar perigee—the Moon's closest point to Earth. Not only does it shine brighter in the night sky, but it also heightens emotional and energetic intensity. Supermoons act like a magnifying glass, making feelings more vivid, revelations louder, and cosmic tides on Earth stronger. It's a moment of heightened awareness and emotional release.
On Tuesday, Oct. 7, Mercury in Scorpio is forming a powerful square with transformative Pluto in Aquarius retrograde. This is what astrologers call a hard aspect: it triggers intense conversations, conflict, and mental breakdowns that can lead to breakthroughs. Squares represent tension and challenge, and this one encourages us to face hidden truths rather than avoid them. This will affect Scorpio and Aquarius placements the most.
The next day, on Wednesday, Oct. 8, we will experience a harmonious sextile connection between Venus in Virgo and Jupiter in Cancer. Relationships and love may feel more supportive, and opportunities for cooperation can flow smoothly. If you've been deep in the weeds with budgets, bills, or financial plans, this alignment can lead to positive shifts and clearer solutions.
As the week comes to a close, on Saturday, Oct. 11, the Waning Gibbous Gemini Moon is activating the karmic Nodes of the Moon and Venus in Virgo. The Nodes highlight our collective path of growth and focus, while Venus brings matters of love and value into the forefront. Some may need to review the details of an important contract, while others can have sobering, truthful conversations about a partnership with another person.
Oracle Card of the Week

This week's major astrological event is the Full Moon in Aries, and I felt that Yasmin Boland's Moonology Oracle was the perfect deck to work with. I wasn't surprised when the Full Moon Eclipse card popped out immediately.

When this card appears, the situation that's top of mind is about to reach a peak, and it's now out of your hands. It's best to allow it to unfold and manifest under the light of this week's Full Moon in Aries. Going with the flow of the universe and tapping into your emotional intuition is key at this time. You may also still feel deeply impacted by the recent Total Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on Sept. 7, releasing and letting go of what's no longer aligned. Change can feel like a mix of discomfort, instability, relief, and desire. Feel into this week and its mixed bag of fiery and intense emotions. Surrender to change and allow the universe to bring what's rightfully yours and shed what's not.
