This week’s astrology continues the Scorpio season storyline of revelation, transformation, and truth, but now, the flames of fire and the reality of earth begin to merge. Mars leaves its home sign in the deep waters of Scorpio and blazes with outward fire into Sagittarius, the Full Moon illuminates in Taurus, and Venus dives into Scorpio’s passionate depths. The cosmos asks us to balance freedom with loyalty, expansion with embodiment, and truth with shadow.
Sunday, Nov. 2, begins under a fiery Aries Moon, rekindling motivation and forward motion after last week’s heavy introspection. Mercury, the planet of communication, in Sagittarius, is in its detriment and still in its pre-retrograde shadow period, revealing truths and heightening miscommunication. You can see this occurring at a collective level with the ongoing government shutdown, travel disruptions, local elections, new affairs being exposed, and dirty government secrets being revealed. This will intensify as we head into Mercury retrograde officially next week!
On Tuesday, Nov. 4, Mars (the planet of war, action, and drive) enters Sagittarius, breaking the spell of emotional fixation that’s lingered since September. Fire meets truth here, and we move from shadow-work to the larger vision of our lives. Mars in Sagittarius is bold, philosophical, and freedom-driven. After weeks of intensity, this shift brings optimism and motion, though it may also magnify impatience or self-righteousness. We may also see more wars, unfortunately, break out on a global level, especially horrific genocides like those in Sudan, which have not gotten as much coverage as others.
Just one day later, on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 8:19 am EST, we reach the Full Moon in Taurus. This is a deeply grounding, exalted (positive) Taurus Moon, opposing the Scorpio Sun and illuminating your relationship with the material realm, including your money, pleasure, security, beauty, and body. Where Scorpio wants to transform, Taurus wants to manifest and stabilize. This Full Moon highlights the need to balance emotional intensity with stability. Financial, sensual, and physical revelations surface. You may purge feelings of unworthiness and not feeling like enough, in order to welcome in the abundance and growth you deserve. Don’t just purge and wash it away; it's a time to manifest your intentions into reality through alchemizing the shadow of lack.
This Full Moon is also forming positive connections to expansive and powerful Jupiter in Cancer and grounding Saturn in Pisces, creating a powerful grid of manifestation through water and earth. The message? Growth that lasts requires emotional maturity and self-nurturing. It’s a potent lunation for money manifestation, body healing, and creative grounding rituals.
By Thursday, Nov. 6, Venus enters Scorpio, where she will remain until November 30. Venus is the goddess of love, beauty, relationships, and contracts, and when she is in her detriment in Scorpio, these areas of life take a serious turn. Expect deep soul-level work on your role in relationships and agreements, whether in business or love. Surface-level connections fade; only depth remains. Venus in Scorpio teaches us that love without vulnerability is an illusion. It’s also an invitation to re-examine intimacy, loyalty, and energetic exchange. What you give, what you withhold, and what truly deserves your devotion.
On Friday, Nov. 7, Uranus retrograde leaves Gemini and returns to Taurus for the final time in our lifetime, a major collective shift. Uranus takes 84 years to move through the entire zodiac. For the next few months, we are revisiting and resolving the revolution in values, money systems, and body consciousness that began in 2018. Expect sudden developments in finance, sustainability, food, and collective security. The physical realm becomes the battleground of awakening, including what you own, what you eat, and what you create, which are all acts of rebellion or alignment now.
From late at night on Nov. 6 into Nov. 7, Astrological Samhain takes place when the Scorpio sun is at 15°. As mentioned in my last newsletter, this is a modern pagan celebration compared to the ancient Samhain date of October 31st. We are now in the middle of the zodiac sign of transmutation, death, alchemy, and regeneration. The veil is astrologically thin, and this is a potent day to honor your ancestors.
This week bridges two worlds: the shadow and the light, the physical world and the spiritual. The secrets and shadows of Scorpio are now manifesting in the physical under the Taurus Full Moon, while Mars in Sagittarius points the way forward with fire and faith.
