A bright, bold, and rebellious Full Moon in Leo kicks off this week with the Moon opposing a major stellium (three or more planets in a sign) in Aquarius. This lunation is on the cusp of eclipse season, and emboldening us to take courageous steps towards revolutionary life change and liberation from fear of being seen. The Mercury pre-retrograde shadow period also starts this week, along with Mercury's move into the depths of its detriment in Pisces.

Sunday, February 1: Full Moon in Leo at 5:08 pm EST
The Full Moon in Leo is activating empowerment, bold decisions, and rebellious moves forward as the week begins. A Full Moon occurs when the Moon is in exact opposition with the Sun, giving off the round effect that we all know and love. With this particular Full Moon, the Leo Moon is at 13°, forming an opposition with the Aquarius Sun across the sky. Leo represents courage, strength, leadership, and self-expression. The Aquarius Sun is also joined by Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Pluto—a whopping 5 planets in the zodiac sign of rebellion, revolution, technological advances, the black sheep, and collective humanity.
So what does this all mean? We can expect, over the next two weeks, more protests and people standing up against fascism, ICE, and the patriarchal governments that are harming instead of helping the people. As I have said in my recent Black Moon Lilith in Sagittarius workshop, there is a reckoning going on right now for Donald Trump and all of the horrific acts that were committed by him and these vile men in power. In your own individual life, you will feel the desire to rebel against old creative patterns, ideas, and realities that no longer fit who you are. You are also releasing the fear of being seen and gaining attention for your work, ideas, and self-expression.
Sunday, February 1: Mercury Pre-Retrograde Shadow Period Starts
On the same day as the Full Moon, Mercury enters its pre-retrograde shadow period. Mercury is the planet of communication, thought, ideas, and short-distance travel. When retrograde, all of the "Mercurial" areas of life tend to go haywire, slow down, and feel challenging. This Mercury retrograde cycle will be in its detriment in Pisces, adding another layer of difficulty to the next few weeks.
I want to keep it real, not fear-monger. My Mercury retrograde to-do list is coming, and I will be keeping you up to date through the coming weeks on how to navigate. While Mercury is not officially retrograde, I always want to remind you to be mindful and start pumping the brakes on new launches, new relationships, important conversations, and unnecessary travel.
Wednesday, February 4: Uranus Direct in Taurus
Uranus, the planet of shocks, breakthroughs, revolution, and sudden change, is stationing direct today, and making its final pass through Taurus before moving into Gemini for the next 7 years. Uranus stationed retrograde on September 6, 2025, in Gemini, giving us an initial preview over the summer of what Uranus in Gemini will bring. As it continued its retrograde, Uranus moved back into Taurus on November 7, 2025, where it has spent the past couple of months revisiting unfinished themes around stability, resources, and systems we once assumed were unshakeable.
This is a once-in-a-generation shift that will reshape how we think, speak, learn, and connect, collectively and personally. When Uranus enters an air sign like Gemini, the world tends to experience rapid intellectual, technological, and ideological acceleration, especially in the realms of information and communication.
During this generational transition, expect breakthroughs and volatility in AI, digital communication, debates over censorship versus freedom of speech, mental health discourse, and changes in language, learning, and media. This era can also intensify the tension between surveillance and privacy, alongside a broader data revolution and the rise of digital rebellion against outdated technological and institutional systems.
In the shadow expression, Uranus in Gemini can correlate with heightened geopolitical instability and escalations driven by technology, messaging, and competition for influence. The world’s information battlefield gets louder, faster, and more consequential, and discernment becomes a survival skill. Friday, February 6: Mercury enters Pisces
As the week comes to a close, Mercury shifts into Pisces as it gears up for its upcoming retrograde period. Mercury is the planet of communication, thought, the nervous system, and local travel. It's in what astrologers call its detriment, meaning it's challenging to operate in this zodiac sign. Overall, there will be miscommunication, confusion, and a desire to be mentally in your emotions and feelings. It may feel like you are entering into a period of hermit behavior, but remember this is only temporary. Pisces is also an emotional and intuitive water sign, so you may feel in this space for the next few weeks.
Also, with this upcoming retrograde, I want to warn on a collective level that there may be an increase in infectious diseases. I've given warnings about this on my social media channels, and I am keeping an eye on this. Hopefully, it doesn't correlate to the Nipah outbreaks in India, and let's hope they have it contained.
