The highlight of this week ahead is the New Moon in Pisces occurring at 9:23 pm EDT. A New Moon is when the sun and the moon form an exact connection in the sky, and bring new beginnings, transition, and a fresh perspective in the zodiac sign they are in. New Moons are the first lunar phase, and are also dark and not visible, as they occur when the Moon is positioned directly between the Earth and the Sun.
Let's discuss the astrology and aspects of this New Moon. This particular New Moon is at 28° in the intuitive water sign of Pisces, along with past communicator Mercury Retrograde, the life-direction-driven North Node, and conflicted Mars in Pisces. Saturn and Neptune are dissolving old structures in the early degrees of Aries and also forming what astrologers call out-of-sign conjunctions with this New Moon. There are also favorable connections with the planet of shake-ups, Uranus in Taurus, and expansive Jupiter in Cancer.

Mercury conjunct Mars in Pisces can bring words charged with emotion, intuition, and heat. Thoughts move fast, but not always in straight lines. Conversations may feel revealing and reactive, as if something has been simmering under the surface and finally needs a voice. Pisces does not argue in bullet points. It speaks in feeling and subtext. Be mindful of passive aggression, confusion, or saying something sharp in a moment that is already tender. Not every truth needs force to be real.
