This week brings what astrologers call one of the luckiest alignments of the year as Venus and Jupiter join together in Cancer. This conjunction happens about once a year, and this is the last one in Cancer until 2037, making it especially significant. In traditional Astrology, Venus is known as the lesser benefic, and Jupiter is known as the greater benefic. Benefics are auspicious planets associated with blessings, harmony, support, abundance, ease, and positive outcomes. When the two benefics come together in the same sign, their symbolism combines and expands, creating one of the most auspicious configurations we can experience in the sky. On the evenings of June 8 and 9, Venus conjunct (☌) Jupiter will appear close together in the western sky around 30-45 minutes after sunset.
Venus is associated with love, beauty, pleasure, money, attraction, and relationships. Jupiter (also in exaltation, a.k.a. its strength in Cancer) is associated with growth, spiritual wisdom, expansion, and luck. Together in Cancer, they can bring security, generosity, luck, emotional fulfillment, and meaningful breakthroughs. Because this conjunction is happening in Cancer, the blessings of this transit may come through home, family, emotional healing, care, nourishment, intimacy, and the people and places that make you feel genuinely safe and supported. This is also an ideal election for launches, new projects, signing important contracts, important meetings, and making aligned moves forward.
At the same time, this conjunction forms a square with Chiron in Aries, adding a layer of wound healing and vulnerability to the story.
