This particular New Moon is also forming an opposition with the rebellious dark goddess, Black Moon Lilith, in Sagittarius.

When a New Moon occurs here, it initiates a new chapter around your voice, your message, and the story you are telling yourself about your life. For some, this can look like a new contract, a new writing or media project, a move, a shift in mindset, or a fresh social and intellectual beginning. But because Gemini is dual, mutable, and fast-moving, this New Moon can also bring multiple options, competing narratives, or the sense that a choice is still taking shape.
With Black Moon Lilith in Sagittarius opposing this lunation, there is also a sharper, more provocative undertone running throughout the week. Lilith in Sagittarius challenges false beliefs, hypocrisy, and the stories we have outgrown. She does not want the polished version of the truth. She wants the raw one. This means the New Moon may initiate a new beginning, but only after exposing where you have been silencing yourself, performing for approval, or shrinking your perspective to fit into spaces that are no longer aligned. I must also warn that Mercury is in its pre-retrograde shadow period from June 13 until June 28, with Mercury retrograde officially beginning on June 29. My recommendation for shadow periods is to begin treating them like retrograde: slow down on new launches, take time to rethink, relook, edit, and make changes to goals that already exist in your life. Starting new relationships, contracts, agreements, or partnerships is not advisable at this time.
The shadow period matters because Mercury is already moving through the degrees it will revisit during the retrograde. In other words, the story is beginning now, even if the official retrograde has not started yet. Themes that surface over the next couple of weeks may need to be revised, renegotiated, or revisited by the end of the month. Delays, crossed wires, second thoughts, and missing information can begin showing up early. Under a Gemini New Moon, that is especially important to keep in mind because Gemini moves quickly and is eager to say yes, send the email, sign the paper, or follow the most exciting option. Friday, Jun 19: Chiron enters Taurus
This section is typically for planetary aspects, but I also wanted to note that Chiron, the wounded healer, is moving into Taurus this week. This is a slower-moving asteroid representing our deepest wounds and how they can ultimately serve as a vessel for healing ourselves and others.
If you have Chiron in Taurus in your birth chart, this is your Chiron return, an important life-cycle event that typically occurs between ages 46 and 52. This transit can bring old pain, vulnerability, or long-standing insecurities to the surface, but not without purpose. Taurus governs self-worth, money, the body, security, survival, pleasure, and what helps us feel safe and resourced in the world. As Chiron moves through this sign, the collective begins a deeper healing process around scarcity, value, embodiment, and the places where our relationship with worth has been shaped by fear, deprivation, instability, or loss.
